The Apostle Paul once said, "I commend you to God and to the WORD of His grace, which is able to build you up" (Acts 20:32).
Personal GROWTH starts with personal study. Are you ready to begin?
In Ephesians it says, "He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the UNITY of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ" (4:11-13).
The group that studies TOGETHER grows together. Your friends may be waiting on you to get the ball rolling.
In 1 Corinthians we read, "When you ASSEMBLE, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and one must interpret; but if there is no interpreter, he must keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself and to God...for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints" (14:26-33).
These words imply a more formal (less casual) setting of Bible study — an ASSEMBLY.
"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for EVERY good work."
